The Southern Cross Instrumental Department provides individual and group tuition to over 250 students from Prep to Year 12. Music co-ordinator Steve Petersen is assisted by a range of specialist staff. Instruments that may be studied include:
Woodwind: Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, Bassoon, Saxophone, Recorder
Brass: Horn, Trumpet, Trombone, Euphonium, Tuba
Strings: Violin, Viola, 'Cello, Double Bass
Guitar: Acoustic Guitar, Electric Guitar, Bass Guitar, (all styles)
Keyboard: Piano, Electric Keyboard
Percussion: Drum Kit, Untuned& Tuned Percussion
Voice: All Voice Types











How to start lessons
Before a student starts lessons, an Instrumental Music Tuition Application form must be filled in and submitted to your campus office. The relevant music teacher will then contact you. The forms can be collected from administration or can be downloaded at the bottom of this page.
