The SCCC Languages Department is responsible for the organisation and implementation of the Japanese program throughout the College and across all campuses. The Japanese Program aims to develop an international perspective and understanding in our students in an attempt to prepare them for an ever changing and exceedingly globalised world.
With globalisation occurring at a faster rate than ever before, it is critical to the continuing and future success of your child that they be Asia literate. The Japanese program helps students to develop critical thinking, analysis and problem solving skills. It also contributes to social interaction through better communication and understanding.
Students are offered the opportunity to commence their study of Japanese in Year 6 under the instruction and guidance of qualified and highly experienced teachers and native teaching assistants. They may continue their study until they complete their senior schooling in Year 12.
