The first Scholar's assembly for 2017 acknowledged students for their success in their studies from the second semester of 2016.
Academic progress and excellence rates highly at Southern Cross Catholic College and at the first Scholar's assembly for 2017, we recognised those students from Years 7 to 11 whose academic results in Semester 2, 2016 were exceptional.
These awards were presented to students to acknowledge their success in their studies and provide an aspirational goal for the rest of the student population.
The senior students of 2016 who received outstanding OP results also returned for the assembly to be acknowledged for their hard work and dedication to their studies. Success in the STEM subjects has meant that many of the 2016 graduates have moved to university to study a Bachelor of Biomedical Science, Bachelor of Medical Imaging, Bachelor of Engineering, Bachelor of Mathematics and Bachelor of Physiotherapy. This is an outstanding result and proof that hard work reaps results.
We congratulate all our award winners and look forward to recognising those students who dedicate themselves to their Semester 1 studies, later in the year.
