Queensland Catholic Schools & Colleges Music Festival (QCMF) - the premier event in the annual music calendar. was held on the 17-20 August.
The QCMF is an unbelievable display of talent, showcasing the unique musical gifts of students from Prep to Year 12, & covering a diverse range of genres from classical to contemporary. 105 schools completed in total this year, this being the 32nd event in its history & the first one in full effect since the COVID-19 pandemic.
Southern Cross Catholic College entered five groups in this year's festival coming away with fantastic results:
- Scarby Singstars | Bronze (Scarborough Primary Vocal Ensemble)
- Scarby Pickers | Silver (Scarborough Primary Guitar Ensemble)
- Kippa Ring Tones | Bronze (Kippa Ring Vocal Ensemble)
- Woody Wood Pickers | Silver (Woody Point Guitar Ensemble)
- Secondary Guitar Ensemble | Bronze
We congratulate the students on all the hard work involved in preparing, practicing, and displaying their talents at this year’s festival. For many it was their first time performing at QCMF, well done! Thank you also to our hard-working music staff who make this possible!
